Warm up
Before the lesson, write each of the words from the yellow
box on page 35 on a piece of card or thick paper and cut
the words up so all the letters are on separate pieces of
paper. Then, put the letters for each word into separate
envelopes. Ask the students to work in pairs and give
each pair an envelope. Tell them to put the letters in the
correct order to make a word to do with things that are
in a town and then ask a student from each pair to write
their word on the board. Alternatively, after each pair has
spelt out their word together, they can put their letters
back into the envelope and swap with another pair before
writing on the board. Words to be used: theatre, cinema,
museum, castle, park, shops, square, skyscraper. Hi Bill,
